The Association of Producers and Importers of Accumulators and Batteries in Poland was established in October 1999 in order to integrate the environment of the battery industry and represent this environment in discussion with state administration.
The association has 21 members - producers and importers of lead acid batteries, which accounts for over 90% of the lead acid battery industry in Poland.

Members of the Association, feeling responsible for the natural environment and its protection, fulfill at their own expense the obligations imposed on them by the Act on Obligations of Entrepreneurs in the Management of Certain Waste, Product Fee and Deposit Fee, including the collection of used batteries and their recycling.
The Association is actively involved in the work on regulations on the management of used lead acid batteries, and during the creation of applicable environmental regulations, members of the Association actively participate in consultations as experts.
One of the objectives of the Association is to keep industry statistics on the production and domestic and export sales of lead-acid batteries.
The Association of Producers and Importers of Accumulators and Batteries in Poland cooperates with the European Association of Battery Manufacturers.
